Prince of Light – A Classic High Elf Tyrion Showcase

Hail the heir of Aenarion, Defender of Ulthuan – Prince Tyrion is here. But he’s looking kind of old, isn’t he…?

This is one of the oldies I’ve found over the years. He was also the first of them to be painted. The next of them was incidentally, and rather suitably, the twin – Teclis. The mini is not in its original form, as a keen observer might see. His sword was broken, so I replaced it with my destroyed (sigh) future-Tyrion’s sword. Malhandir, the greatest horsie up to and through the End Times, also got some new clothes – the plain caparison got a second layer of green stuff, in imitation of the later model.

Overall I’m happy with how the mini turned out. To better fit with my later evolution of colours scheme, however, he should have been slightly brightly coloured. But a combination of blending (too far to orange), undercoat (black) and varnish (too matte) desaturated the impressions.

Have you met Tyrion in you hobby life?
