XXVI – X-mas speshul pt.2

“Hur, hur, ho” laughed Santa Klawz as he placed the traditional  festive “dekureishuns” in crimson sprinkles in the drifts of snow around the tribe’s fortress. He had learned a lot of the craft in his years as Boss X-mus Dekureitah. For instance – too little blood and  the snow would be only pinkish, too much and it would melt.

Soon he would have finished painting the festive red and would  continue with the gall green – painted with lovely bile. He felt  the Christmas Spirit’s energy fill him with the joy of being an  Ork, the glory of Boss Crafmanship. “Hur, hur, ho.”

So now the first round of fightin’ of my 4 player mini-campaign has been played and rewards given as proppa.  The games played were

Panzees – ‘Umies
Fish ‘eads – Bugs
Orkz is da best!

Everybody got a little something (well at least an opportunity to get something) – it’s Christmas after all. The winners got two rolls at a special gift table – a classic D66 table where each slot is a individual item. I will reveal the actual list in the last post of the mini-campaign so that I can let the players roll a number of their own without worrying about cheating. 😉 Or as ‘Urghnould says

“Jobz a good’un!”, Santa Klaws exlamated in satisfaction as he spilled the last drops of blood and bile in the snow drifts. Returning the jars of bodily fluids back to their shed, he passed the boyz’ barracks and the Stormboyz, marching grounds. “Odd gitz them Stormboyz…” he thought, shaking his head. “Best see if dem Mekz shop gotz some proppa speshul lights fer dem X-mus treez. Hur, hur, ho!”

The first mission saw the less respektabul races land on Corvae Thun Turi’s northern pole and encountering some bogeys. *Not da uns in dere noses, git!* To give the results some context: The game was an objective mission where three buildings placed along the central line of the table were Primary Objectives. The full details of the mission can be found in the last blog post. As mentioned before the players play with locked lists through these 5 games. The lists are:

The Bugses:
Hive tyrant {2 x twin-linked devourers with brainleech worms, regeneration, wings}

Next the players have discovered some secrets in the rubble of the ruins by the northern pole. These lead them to seek the counsel of a great Oracle in a nearby valley (or to follow those who do). The winners of the first mission get a bit of a head start and Seize the Initiative in Mission #2 on the roll of 4+.

As I understand it the boyz have scheduled their games already so expect a short update next week (just before 14.12) in regards of this mini-campaign. If I can get around to it I’ll try to give you proppa Bat-Reps of the 3 final games. Stay tuned and be nice – Santa Klaws is extra watchful right now.
